Happy 21st for Pyramid of Arts at Light Night Leeds

This is my guest post on the Guardian blog. It's about an art group in my city of Leeds. I've not done any writing for a while, but I learnt everything I know from writing for Newsvine.

Kids climb huge crane in Leeds and take amazing photos

I'm not sure whether to be impressed or appalled. I guess deep down I'm just a bit jealous that I didn't do it. I would have course got written permission to do it and worn a safety hat.

Marksman Called In To Kill Pigeons

The best thing about this articles is the comments that people from Surrey have left. There are many ingenious ways to get rid of pigeons, and they also speak out about what they think of pigeons. They are a nuisance, and also the flying wizards of Satan. There, I've said it.

Get on the Leeds Big Screen

I've not really understood why so many big screens are appearing all round the country. I don't really see the need to have lots of TVs outside. Normally I go out because I don't want to watch TV.

Who put my picture online?

I've always been careful not to give too much away online. It's not like I have dark secrets, but I do want to control the information that exists about me on the Internet. I want to protect myself against those cyber-stalkers I've been hearing so much about.

A dangerous prank quite literally backfired and landed a 22-year-old squaddie in hospital with a scorched colon – after he stuck a firework up his bottom. Ouch!
